Transmission Line Design Engineer

About this role

The Transmission Line Design Engineer ensures that the engineering design is compliant with client requirements and all relevant standards. Acts as a subject matter expert regarding electrical distribution and transmission line engineering activities on both overhead and underground. Determines the capacity, system voltage selection, conductor selection, OHGW, OPGW, and insulator selection. Provides specifications for insulators, conductors, shield wires, and other line accessories.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Licensed Engineer.
  • At least 1 year work experience in transmission line design.
  • Proficient in using design software CAD, PLS-CADD, and other engineering software applications is an advantage.
